The tour begins in Guwahati, the vibrant gateway to Assam and the entire Northeast region. From here, travel through picturesque countryside to Kaziranga National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for its population of the rare one-horned rhinoceros. During your stay, enjoy thrilling wildlife experiences including an optional elephant safari at dawn and an exciting jeep safari through the park’s central range. These safaris offer the chance to spot rhinos, elephants, wild buffaloes, deer, and a variety of exotic birds in their natural habitat.
The journey continues towards the beautiful hill station of Shillong in Meghalaya, often called the “Scotland of the East.” En route, stop at the stunning Umiam Lake, also known as Barapani Lake, a serene reservoir surrounded by lush hills. In Shillong, explore iconic attractions such as Elephant Falls, Don Bosco Museum, and the magnificent Cathedral of Mary Help of Christians.
The tour concludes back in Guwahati with a spiritual visit to the sacred Kamakhya Temple and, if time permits, the informative Assam State Museum. This itinerary perfectly blends wildlife adventure, natural beauty, culture, and spirituality for a memorable Northeast India experience.

Itinerary
Arrive Guwahati Airport/Railway station. Guwahati is the capital of Assam and gateway to Northeast India. On arrival you will be met by our representative and proceed to Kaziranga National Park ( 240 kms / 5 hrs) a world heritage site and famous for the one horned Rhino. On arrival, check-in at the lodge/resort. Overnight at the lodge/resort.
Elephant ride very early in the morning (optional, subject to availability and on direct payment basis). After breakfast Jeep safari inside the central range of the park. You will see the famous one horned Rhino, elephants, deers, wild buffaloes and various species of birds and other animals. Overnight at the lodge/resort.
Transfer from Kaziranga to Shillong (7 hrs) in Meghalaya. Enroute see the Umiam lake or Barapani lake. Evening free to explore Shillong market. Check in at hotel and overnight.
Shillong Sightseeing. See the Cathedral, the Elephant falls, the Don Bosco Museum (Sunday closed) in Shillong. Transfer to Guwahati.
Morning visit Kamakhya temple and Assam State Museam (if time permits). Drop off at airport/Rail station.
