Arrive Delhi/Kolkata International Airport. On arrival you check in at the domestic terminal for your flight to Dibrugarh. Arrive Dibrugarh airport. On arrival you will be met by our representative and transferred to the Hotel/Heritage Tea Bungalow. Afternoon visit the Jagannath Temple and Dibrugarh town. Dinner and overnight at the Hotel/Bungalow.
Today morning, visit a lush green tea garden. After lunch drive to the Nam-Phake village at Naharkatia (3 hours) where a community named Tai-Phake resides. Visit the Buddhist Monastery and stroll through the village to view the life style of the Tai Phake people. Evening enjoy a local cultural programme with barbeque dinner at the Bungalow. Overnight at the Hotel/Tea Bungalow.
Morning after breakfast, drive to Margherita (3 hours). On the way visit the picturesque town of Digboi having Asia’s oldest Oil refinery. See the Oil museum in Digboi. Thereafter proceed to Margherita and see the coal museum here. After that visit the Singpho tribal village in Ketatong. Enjoy a traditional lunch in a Singpho villa. Thereafter drive back to Dibrugarh. Overnight at the Bungalow/ hotel.
Transfer to Dibrugarh airport for your flight to Guwahati. From Guwahati airport drive to Shillong(2-3 hrs). Enroute stop at the beautiful Umiam lake and enjoy panoramic views of the misty hills and lake in between. Check in at the hotel in Shillong and overnight.
After breakfast early morning drive to Cherrapunjee (56 km/ 2 hours), world renowned for being once the rainiest place on earth. Cherrapunjee or Sohra has many beautiful waterfalls and caves. On the way, visit, Elephant falls. Visit the Nohsngithiang Falls, Mawsmai caves/Arwah caves, Nohkailikai Falls. Overnight at the hotel.
This morning sightseeing of Shillong visiting the Shillong Cathedral, Wards Lake (Tuesday closed) known locally as Nan-Polok. It is an artificial lake with garden and boating facilities. After that see the Don Bosco Museum (Sunday closed). This modern museum focuses on local indigenous people & culture. Afternoon drive to Guwahati. Overnight at the hotel.
After breakfast full day sightseeing of Guwahati city. Visit the Kamakhya Temple, Assam State museum, Guwahati Zoo, Srimanta Shankardev Kalakshetra etc. Evening go for a dinner cruise with cultural program on the river Brahmaputra. Overnight in Guwahati.
Transfer to airport for onward flight.
