Arrive at Chandigarh Railway Station @ 640 am – 20 September 12983/AII CDG G RATH anddrive to Shimla, the charming hill station once the summer capital of British India. Upon arrival, check into your hotel. Spend the evening at leisure exploring Mall Road & The Ridge.
After breakfast, drive towards the beautiful Sangla Valley. Pass through Narkanda with views of apple orchards and snow-capped peaks. Visit Karcham Dam, a hydro project on the Sutlej River, and continue to Sangla surrounded by cedar forests and mountains.
Post breakfast, visit Chitkul, the last inhabited village near the Indo-Tibet border, and Nagasti, the last civilian point. Continue to Reckong Peo Market, the commercial hub of Kinnaur, and later drive to Kalpa. Evening leisure with mesmerizing views of the Kinner Kailash Range.
Explore Kalpa and its surroundings. Visit Chinni Monastery, the famous cliff-side Suicide Point, and the sacred Kothi Temple dedicated to Goddess Chandika Devi. Enjoy apple orchards and serene Himalayan landscapes.
After breakfast, head to Nako Village. En route, witness the confluence of Sutlej & Spiti Rivers at Khab. From a viewpoint, catch glimpses of Shipki La Pass (Tibet border, subject to permits). At Nako, explore the Nako Lake and monastery.
Drive to Tabo, famous for its 1,000-year-old monastery. En route, stop at Gue Monastery, home to the naturally preserved 500-year-old mummy of a Buddhist monk, and enjoy views from Lepcha Pass.
After visiting Tabo Monastery, continue to Dhankar Monastery, dramatically perched on a cliff. Later, explore Pin Valley National Park, home to snow leopards and rare Himalayan flora. Drive onward to Kaza, the administrative center of Spiti.
Full-day excursion to high-altitude villages: Komic – among the world’s highest motorable villages. Langza – known for its Buddha statue & fossil fields. Hikkim – home to the world’s highest post office. Key Monastery – Spiti’s largest monastery. Chicham Bridge – Asia’s highest suspension bridge.
After breakfast, drive over Kunzum Pass (4,551 m) to reach Chandratal Lake. A short trek (1.5 km one way) takes you to this crescent-shaped alpine lake surrounded by high peaks. Spend time at leisure soaking in the surreal beauty.
Check out and drive to Manali via Batal, Gramphu, and through the iconic Atal Tunnel, an engineering marvel at 10,000 ft. Arrive at Manali and enjoy the evening exploring Mall Road.
After breakfast, check out and drive back to Chandigarh for onward journey.
